Notes to cat owners:
Cats are naturally curious, but also naturally cautious, so it would be good idea to take days for them to get the courage to step inside.
If your cats get scared for self-clean, please turn-off the auto cleaning feature until they get used to it.
If you have cats that scare easily, it is recommended not doing the self-clean while they are around until they get used to it.
If your cats aren't fans of enclosed spaces they might just refuse to use it. This is a great unit that requires a degree in cats' psychology Setup is easy.
Take out the unit, read the instructions (open up the top & you'll find them), fill it with litter and plug it in.
When lifting it up, make sure to hold the base and the barrel is connected properly to the gear in back.
If you find it difficult to see inside to find the min to max fill lines, it is suggested you scoop the litter into the barrel for better visibility.
Replaceable common size - 2-4 gallon drawstring bags. You can find it on Walmart for low price.
The self-cleaning litter box will notify you when the bag is full BTW.
UV deodorizer can be independently turned on if you will need more throughout cleaning or eliminating the smell.
